You Mean to Tell Me?

Waiting to get into church

Some of you may have seen the picture of the boy in a third world country asking the lady a very important question, “You mean to tell me that people trample others for sales exactly one day after being thankful for what they already have?”

Unfortunately, the answer to this question is yes.  We all have watched the scenes with people standing outside for hours the day after Thanksgiving waiting for the doors to open to get the “Best deals” of the year.  This year I even saw on several national news outlets two people in a physical altercation.

I would rather see people standing outside waiting to come into fellowship with one another each Sunday to worship our Father in heaven to give Him the glory and praise He so desperately wants and deserves.

Can you imagine people waiting outside singing and fellowshipping with each other?  Thrilled about the opportunity that when the doors open to go in and serve one another, learn about God’s love and worship Him with all their heart, mind, and soul?  Can you imagine the Saints greeting one another with a “Holy Kiss?”  This is what He desires.

Wouldn’t’ it be great to hear people say, “You mean to tell me, people are loving each other, singing praises, and serving one another?”  “You mean to tell me that people do this every Sunday and make this a part of their daily lives?”  “You mean to tell me that people put others first above themselves?”

The answer to this question is, “Yes, there are those who love the Lord with all their heart.”  But could you imagine if we all really loved the Lord with everything that was within in us?  What would that look like?  How would we act?  How would people receive us?  I tell you this, the world will know that we are Christian by the way we love.
